Jerison, Irene

Jerison was born in Poland, the daughter of a dentist and a doctor. She was in the Lotz ghetto and in concentration camps in Germany during World War II. After the war, she traveled to London and then to the United States, where she married and had a family. She completed her education with a masters degree in sociology from the University of Chicago.
