Trevor R. Jefferson relocated to Tonga in January of 2005 during the reign of the beloved King Taufa'ahau Tupou IV. He resided in Tonga during the infamous 2006 Nuku'alofa riots and horrific 2009 MV Princess Ashika ferry sinking, survived various hurricanes and watched as the world mourned the death of Tupou IV.
Trevor lived with his wife and children in both the Tongatapu and Vava'u island groups, the latter being where two of his children were born at home and without the aid of a doctor or even a midwife. He and his family experienced living in island paradise without running water...
