Author Ann Jasper has been a nurse for 53 years. She established and chaired the first nursing care committee for the purpose of influencing the quality of care at Valley Children's Hospital in Fresno, Ca. Among her publishing credits is THE NURSING ASSISTANT, a book on nursing procedures for student reference at Cal Berkeley. Additionally, she co-authored two teaching manuals widely used in convalescent hospitals. During her nursing career, the author served as a director of nursing services and director of education. As such, she made presentations to various legislative and consumer groups
