James J. Griffin is a lifelong horseman, Western enthusiast, and unofficial historian of the Texas Rangers. He has travelled extensively throughout the Western United States and Canada. Griffin has donated an extensive collection of Texas Ranger artifacts to the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum in Waco. He is a member of the Connecticut Horse Patrol and the Western Writers of America. When not travelling out West, Griffin divides his time between Branford, Connecticut and Keene, New Hampshire.
