Corey Carroll was born November 20, 1987 in Valdese, North Carolina. He began writing screenplays as a junior in high school. His first completed screenplay was a biopic on the great Nascar legend and southern icon, Dale Earnhardt. He quickly followed up with a serial murder mystery entitled Commandment XI. Corey attended his first two years of college at Western Piedmont Community College in Morganton, North Carolina where he wrote another screenplay, a forbidden love tale called Arcadian Rhapsody.
