MERLE L. JACOB is currently the adult materials selection specialist for the Chicago Public Library and was formerly the coordinator of collection development for the Skokie (Illinois) Public Library. /e She is a frequent workshop presenter on collection development topics and readers advisory subjects and also does independent consulting. In addition to To Be Continued: An Annotated Guide to Sequels, she is the author of several magazine articles.
