Kim Izzy visited the Marguerite de Angeli Library in Lapeer, Michigan as a young school child. Marguerite de Angeli is best known as the author of the Newberry Award winning book - "The Door in the Wall." Kim's deep love of books evident even then. These visits left a lasting impression on her. By the age of thirteen, the desire to write bubbled. However, life intervened and she didn't pick up a pen until the birth of her first child. While reading children's books for hours on end to her two sons and daughter, the desire to write blossomed. She enjoys writing and reading to "children" of all
