Jefferson Ingram began his academic career by teaching "Constitutional History "for the Department of History at the University of Dayton in the Spring of 1978 and entered a full-time tenure track position in the Criminal Justice Program in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Dayton in the Fall of 1978. He continued to teach in the Department of History for two more semesters and offered courses in "Criminal Procedure," "The Law of Evidence," and "Criminal Law" until the late 1990's for the Criminal Justice Program.
