I studied religion at the Pacific School of Religion, earned a BA in philosophy from Chapman University and an MA in Personnel Administration from Denver University. Later I learned Russian at the US Army Language School. I have also hitchhiked and bicycled through Europe, acted in college and community theater, provided low-income housing to seniors, and served as a YMCA camp counselor, where my expert campfire ukulele playing was truly appreciated.
