Iman, Samiyyah

Samiyyah Iman was born in Wichita, KS and raised in Fort Worth, TX. She received her BA in English with a minor in Journalism from the University of Texas at Arlington. During and after her time in school, she assisted in writing, editing and critiquing a number of essays, short stories and novels. Samiyyah started writing poetry in the 7th grade after the death of a close friend.
