Eugene S. Hunn is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Washington. During his lengthy professional career, he has conducted ethnobiological research in Mexico with Mayan people in Chiapas and Zapotec people in the Sierra Sur of Oaxaca and with Sahaptin people in the Columbia Plateau of the Pacific Northwest.
