A.B. Hughes was born in the Appalachian mountains of Pennsylvania in 1991. At nineteen, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, but an injury led to an early discharge. From there, he studied English in New Jersey and resumed a lifelong career of writing. Though his writing is often understated and character driven, it expresses complex political, psychological, and social issues present in modern society. He has also written a poetry anthology, "Between Yesterday & The Day Before."
