Val Taylor comes from the north of England. After graduating with a degree in English and American Literature, she taught high school for several years before moving to the Middle East and then Africa with her engineer husband and two young sons. In 1993, she moved to Australia. Val is a member of ORRCA, an organisation that offers help to injured or stranded sea creatures and a supporter of Greenpeace and the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.
