Holland, Matthew

Valentina Arango was born in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, in January of 1992. She and her family moved to live in the United States in December of 1998. Memories of my Colombia was her first published book. She won the Latino Book Award 2009, for the Best Young Adult Non-fiction book. The courageous ant is her first children book, and it is the first part of the series, Tales from the Shell.
