TRACY HOGG was a British-trained nurse, midwife, and nanny who cared for more than 5,000 babies and witnessed more than 4,000 births around the world. She was a member of the United Kingdom Central Council for Nurses and Midwives, and worked with the World Health Organization to promote women's health in countries as diverse as Sweden and India. Upon it's publication in 2001, "Secrets of the Baby Whisperer" became an instant bestseller, as did Hogg's two followup works. She died in 2004 after a battle with cancer.
