Anthony Hogan interviewed many people for this book; old school friends, family friends, band members, people who saw them play. He had the full support of Rory's sister, Iris, who dated George Harrison and Paul McCartney, before marrying Alvin Stardust. Anthony has previously written Merseyside At War (2014) for Amberley.
