VERONICA LOPEZ is a teacher who has always loved exploring her surroundings and asking questions. As a child, she would go on nature walks along the irrigation canals and through the sugar cane fields around her home. On her walks, she enjoyed collecting pebbles, stones, and rocks. She would ask herself questions about where they came from and why they looked so different.
