Howard Zeman is a fourth generation Iowan. He grew up on a rural family farm in a close knit family. His father Arthur Zeman was a great role model. He graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forest Management. Howard served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam in 1968 to 1970. Following his service to our country he had a long and distinguished career in the U.S. Forest Service as a Forest Ranger.
