Ada Sue Hinshaw, Ph.D., professor of nursing and former dean of the School of Nursing, retired from active faculty status on May 31, 2008.Professor Hinshaw received her B.S. degree from the University of Kansas in 1961, her M.S.N. degree from Yale University in 1963, and her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Arizona in 1973 and 1975, respectively. She joined the University of Michigan faculty in 1994 as dean of the School of Nursing and professor of nursing.
