Hernandez-Cata, Ernesto

Born in Havana, Cuba, in 1942, Ernesto Hernandez-Cata received a License from the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva, Switzerland, in 1967 and a PhD in economics from Yale University.

Mr. Hernandez-Cata spent thirty years at the International Monetary Fund, serving as associate director of the African and Western Hemisphere Departments, manager of the World Economic Outlook, and IMF chief negotiator with Russia.
