Born a hundred years to the day after the birth of legendary illustrator Rockwell Kent, BRI HERMANSON grew up in a small town in Oklahoma, and in 2005 moved to New York to study illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where her favorite mediums were scratchboard and ink. After graduate school the inevitable merging of the two mediums took place; now based in Northampton, Massachusetts, she continues to explore both methods of working with scratchboard.
