Joel Hecker is associate professor of Jewish mysticism at the ReconstructionistRabbinical College. He is the author of Mystical Bodies, Mystical Meals: Eatingand Embodiment in Medieval Kabbalah and is currently preparing a translationof the Zohar on Song of Songs, Ruth, and Lamentations for volume eleven of TheZohar: Pritzker Edition.
