Irish writer Mel Healy is based in Dublin and is the author of the 'Moss Reid' crime series set in and around the Stoneybatter area of the city. Mel studied forensic science at the University of Strathclyde in Scotland (but never managed to finish the course) and is a member of the International Flann O'Brien Society and the Crime Readers' Association. His work has also appeared in Literary Orphans and on Booktrack.com. "Moss Reid mysteries are 'a new breed of Green Noir' - not so much hard-boiled, more a slow-cooked Irish stew."
