Robert R. Hoffman is a senior research scientist at the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition in Pensacola, Florida, and is a faculty associate in the University of West Florida's Departments of Psychology and Computer Science. He specializes in expertise studies, cognitive task analysis, knowledge elicitation, and theories of macrocognition. He is a Fulbright Scholar and a fellow of the American Psychological Society. He is on the editorial boards of Human Factors and Cognitive Engineering & Decision Making, and is a series editor for the book series Expertise: Research and Applications.
