The Sphinx and Trevi Adventure Books came from my own childhood yearnings to travel to exotic lands and to mingle with other cultures. I dreamed of far-off places and all the magic they had to offer. From the world's jungles and rainforests ... to the Egyptian pyramids ... to the Roman Colosseum ... to the Great Wall of China ... I thrived on journeying to these places in my mind. When I first conceived the Sphinx and Trevi Adventure Books, I wanted to open the eyes of children to the notion of traveling beyond their world by means of their imaginations.
