Hawk, Frances

Frances Hawk was brought up in West London, in a large Catholic family. She now lives in Hampshire with her husband and has three adult children. Her career was in nursing, favoring medical wards in hospitals and challenging children in schools. Her working life has been dominated by Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. She began writing as a working life became increasingly difficult and had some short non-fiction articles accepted in magazines. The Southampton 'Writing Buddies' group has been a big influence.
