Hart, Alison

Alison studied theater at Tisch School of The Arts, New York University (B.F.A.), and later found her voice as a writer. Alison identifies herself as a mixed race African American, Passamaquoddy Native American, Irish, Scottish and English woman of color.

A Black Box Theater produced her play, Mother Daughter Dance, in San Francisco (1995). Her poems are published in: Voices of Identity, Rage and Deliverance (No Press at UC Berkeley, 1992) and Lincoln by Lincoln (The Cottage Press, 2004). She performed selected poems on KALX radio in Berkeley (1992).
