Jacqueline Nicole Harris has been writing off and on all of her life. She was always afraid to express herself vocally. She became a performance poet in 1999 after she graduated from college. She has graced stages in and out of Lake County, IL, hosted open mics and self published two books of poetry: Random Acts of Verse and My Revolution. Her first book, Random Acts of Verse, was semi-autobiographical while her second book (My Revolution) is a continuation of her story through verse. A Brown Girl's Story is her third book of poems based on her life and point of view.
