LAURA HANSEN has worked at the intersection of history, story, community, and public space in New York City neighborhoods for twenty-five years. With her mother Jodie Elliott Hansen she edited "November 22, 1963: Ordinary and Extraordinary People Recall Their Reactions When They Heard the News". Laura and her mother share a love of eccentric characters and the fun of talking to strangers. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and their two sons.
