Sam Hamod is "The major Arab American, Muslim American poet," Carlos Fuentes, "Sam Hamod is one of the very best poets in America, " Ishmael Reed; Hamod has a Ph.D.and has taught at The Writers Workshop of The University of Iowa, Princeton, Michigan, Howard, and overseas in Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey and North Africa.
