Elizabeth Hammer earned her B.S. in psychology from Troy State University and received her Ph.D. in social psychology from Tulane University. She is currently Kellogg Professor in Teaching in the Psychology Department and director of the center for the Advancement of Teaching at Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans. She is a Fellow of Division Two of the American Psychological Association (APA) and is a past President of Psi Chi, the National Honor Society in Psychology.
