Judith A. Halstead, PhD, RN, ANEF is Professor and Executive Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Indiana University School of Nursing, Indianapolis. Prior to beginning her career in nursing education, Dr. Halstead served as a staff nurse in both university and private hospitals, specializing in oncology nursing. Her first appointment in nursing academe was as Instructor at Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Evansville, Indiana, and from there she moved to Indiana University SON and Univ of Southern Indiana and back to Indiana Univ SON, where she has been Executive Associate Dean since
