Haislip, Phyllis Hall

Phyllis Hall Haislip has a Ph.D in history and has spent more than 20 years as a college history teacher. She always loved history because she loves stories, and history has the word "story" in it. She enjoyed teaching college history, but not as much as she has enjoyed writing for kids. She loves meeting readers00and even gets hugs!

When she's not writing or visiting schools, Haislip goes on long hikes, carrying a 20-pound backpack on a medieval pilgrimage route in France and Spain.
