Gunder Frank, Andre

Andre Gunder Frank received his Ph.D. at the University of Chicago in economics and held professorships in several disciplines at universities on three continents. He published the first volume of "ReORIENT" in 1998. His opus includes some forty books and nearly one thousand articles and other pieces in numerous languages written over fifty years and spanning 5,000 years of global political and economic development. He is best known as the author of dependency theory and was one of the founders of the World Systems approach.
