Sergio Guadarrama was born in Ciudad Acuna, a small Mexican border town across from Del Rio, Texas, where he spent most of his youth working odd jobs and developing his artistic skills. At a very young age, he worked as a shoe shiner, newspaper delivery boy, and car cleaner, and went on to start his own factories in high school, from which he exported arts and crafts to the United States.
