A. Tom Grunfeld is a professor of history at the State University of New York/Empire State College. He received his B.A. from the State University of New York/College at Old Westbury in 1972, his M.A. from the University of London/School of Oriental and African Studies in 1973, and his Ph.D. from New York University in 1985.
