ALBERT GRUNDLINGH is currently the Head of the History Department at the University of Stellenbosch. He is the author of two books, co-author of two and has also edited three books besides publishing a combined total of 60 articles and chapters in various books. Many of his publications have appeared in leading international journals. He specializes in social and cultural history with a particular interest in war and society.
