Greene, Charlotte

Charlotte Greene was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania; her father was fire chief there during the Depression. She graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in New York City, where she met several popular singers (including Frank Sinatra, Jo Stafford, Vaughn Monroe whose photos are found in this book) while doing photography work in the New York night clubs. After getting married, she has lived in Cherry Point, North Carolina; Santa Ana and Orange, California; then in 1947, moved to Spokane, Washington, where she still resides.
