Kate Dorney is Curator of Modern and Contemporary Performance at the Victoria & Albert Theatre Collections, London. She is the author of "The Changing Language of Modern English Drama 1945-2005" and co-authored "Alternatives within the Mainstream: Queer Theatres in Post-war Britain" and The Glory of the Garden: Regional Theatre and the Arts Council 1984-2009, as well as "Played in Britain", co-written with Frances Gray. To be published by Methuen Drama in 2013, it is an exploration of the best and most influential plays from 1945 to the present.
