Debbie Richardson has lived in Scotland most of her life. She started writing for children when she was a teenager but after teaching languages for 21 years in Scottish Secondary schools Debbie decided to write full-time. She has recently completed a series of New Scottish Fairy Tales for age four to one hundred, of which The Diamond Tears is Book 2. Debbie's first children's novel for age 8-12, Pick 'n' Mix Mums, was shortlisted for the Kelpies Prize 2012.
