Ian H. Gotlib, PhD, is the David Starr Jordan Professor and Chair of the Department of Psychology at Stanford University. His research examines cognitive, social, endocrinological, and neural factors and genetics in depressed individuals; mechanisms involved in the onset of depression in children at familial risk for developing this disorder; and the impact of innovative procedures to reduce young children's risk for depression.
