After serving two years in the U.S. Army the would be author returned to the Pacific North West in 1970 where he was rescued by the woods, waters and people he had always loved before. Back in his homeland he worked mostly in the timber industry and continued the life style he learned as a boy. After high school he read very little and wrote even less, so his writing experience began again where it had ended when he was a teenager.
