Randa Goode was born and raised in North Texas. Growing up listening to her grandfather and dad tell stories, instilled in her the desire to write. Her first memory of the craft is from her senior year in high school where the final grade was derived on a paper based on her favorite memory. Up until this point, English was not her best subject. But given the opportunity to create a story, ignited a talent she never knew she possessed. Years later, she rekindled her aspiration to write and in 2010, won the Editor's Choice Award in the Canis Latran Writing Contest for her short story The Coffin
