As a grandmother, I wanted a way to talk with my grandchildren about how my parents raised me. Stories are always a great vehicle. This story was written with my grandson Mason in mind. After losing my parents, I began to realize how important it is to share the simple ways and attitudes of the past with the next generation. Sandy has been writing fiction and non-fiction for many years, most recently publishing Forty Prayers Journal. She resides in rural Ohio with her husband of over 35 years.
