Angus Gillies began his career in journalism at The Gisborne Herald in 1986. He later worked as a reporter for The Dominion, the Auckland Star and the Sunday News. He switched from print to television in 1993 and became the producer of Nightline in 1997. He's also had stints as executive producer of Campbell Live and sports producer for 3 News and since 2007 has been a general news producer on 3 News.
