JA Gilbert worked in a solicitor's office for nearly twenty seven years, before finally deciding that enough was enough. She now works part-time as a secretary and during the summer season, she is also a guide in a castle. She has always been interested in languages and literature and encouraged by a couple of friends she decided to write her first novel, "McArthur's Country House Hotel" which appeared on Amazon in March 2014.
