Emily Gilbert is a social historian, writer and researcher based in Devon, UK. She has worked on research projects relating to work and care among four generation families; homeworking in the UK, museums and social identity; and research relating to Russia and the Baltic Republics. She has worked at the Universities of London, Sheffield and Newcastle, as well as for charities and local government in research and policy related roles. She has a Master's Degree in Russian and East European Studies and a PhD in Social History.
