Gilbert, Anne

Anne Gilbert began writing about antiques in the Chicago Daily News in the 1970s. The column "Antiques and Stuff" was syndicated by National Newspaper Syndicate, appearing first in the New York Daily News, etc. It was the only such column to write about collectibles as well as fakes and reproductions. Her pithy humor and interviews with collectors were a departure from the usual columns offered at the time.
