Asher Ghaffar's poetry has appeared in CV 2, dANDelion, The Kenyon Review, Open Letter, and other journals. He recently completed a graduate degree in postcolonial theory and politics at York University. His work earned him the Lillian Kroll Prize in Creative Writing and the Alfred Poynt Award in Poetry in 2005. Currently he wonders why he lives in Toronto. He is at work on his first novel at the Humber School for Writers.
