Marty Gervais is the author of more than 20 books of poetry, fiction, non-fiction and drama. In 1998 he won the prestigious Harbourfront Festival Prize for his contribution to Canadian literature. In 1997, he won the Milton Acorn People's Poetry Award for his collection Tearing Into A Summer Day. Gervais has worked for a number of newspapers.
